Hello everyone – welcome
to the long overdue newsletter from your new Chairman! Firstly
can I say Happy New Year to you all and lets hope its a windy
one after last year. In time honoured fashion I thought it would
be good for the first newsletter of the new season to pen my
thoughts on the year gone by and reflect on how the class is
doing.
Last year started well with a good attendance at Draycote the
first event of the year. We weren’t expecting so many
boats so it was a welcome surprise to see you all there equalling
the number of boats at the Nationals. Unfortunately we didn’t
have a windy year so the thrills and spills that are usually
the talking point in the bar afterwards didn’t really
happen although a bit of stunt sailing kept the audience amused.
If you haven’t sailed your Boss for a while dust off those
old boats and come join the hard core gang who travel to every
event!!! You will always be guaranteed a good time and have
some excellent racing.
Hopefully with the varied open meeting circuit and well spread
out dates we will see a few more of you around the country.
For anyone planning on going to Garda I think we all need to
get in touch with each other to make all the arrangements to
get the show on the road. Speak to you all again soon.

So as you can
see, quite an action packed year ahead with venues all over
the country (though not in Scotland yet – sorry guys!)
and remember, for those of us who do travel, the fun of competing
and socialising with like minded sailors is all part of the
enjoyment.
